In 2008, Rami was on board a development project funded by the International Labor Organization. Their work was directed towards improving the beekeeping sector of South Lebanon.  The main focus of his research on beekeeping had the aim of improving the method of production in rural areas of Lebanon. By integrated local farmers with the national and international apiculture methods, he looks to help promote income generation and sustainable development in these areas.
